Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week, we will be working on the following:

Journal writing
Alphabetical order
Literacy centers
IMPORTANT DATES:
March 23 – K-2 Spelling Bee
March 24 – Spring pictures/Free Dress Up Day
March 26 - Dress Down Day ($1.00)/End of 3rd quarter/Early Release at 1:00
March 30 – Water Safety Day field trip to Glendale Community College/Bring lunch
March 31 – Early release at 1:00/Parent teacher conferences
April 1 – Early release at 1:00/Parent teacher conferences

UPCOMING TESTS:
Friday – Weekly phonogram, Spelling

HOMEWORK:
Monday – Write spelling words from list #1 5 times each and make up a sentence for
each word (must do both)

Tuesday – Write spelling words from list #1 5 times each and make up a sentence for
each word (must do both)


Wednesday/Thursday – Language Arts worksheets and/or Math worksheets

Friday – If all students turn in their homework, there will be no weekend homework; otherwise, Language Arts worksheet and/or Math worksheet

FYI:
The last two months of school are fast approaching. There are many events taking place during this time.

Spring pictures will be taken on Wednesday. Every student will be photographed and the pictures will be sent home to preview before paying.

AIMS testing will be the week of April 12. Although first grade does not test, our recess and break times may be affected. I may be pulled out of class to help in another grade during testing. If this happens, a substitute teacher will be in place to teach.
