Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week, we will be working on the following:

Phonograms 1-70
Motion
Fractions
Long and short vowels
Word endings
Reading fluency

IMPORTANT DATES:
May 13 – Early release at 11:45
May 23 – Kindergarten Promotion at 9:30 a.m.
May 24 – Eighth grade promotion at 6:00 p.m.
May 25 – Last Day of School/Early release at 11:45

UPCOMING TESTS:
Thursday – Practice spelling, word endings
Friday – Spelling, math

HOMEWORK:
Monday – Write spelling words 5 times from List #1 and write at least 5 sentences using spelling words

Tuesday – Write spelling words 5 times from List #1 and write at least 5 sentences using spelling words

Wednesday/Thursday – Language Arts worksheets and/or Math worksheets

Friday – If all students turn in their homework, there will be no weekend homework; otherwise, Language Arts worksheet and/or Math worksheet

FYI:

There are only 3 weeks of school left. Please remind your child to stay focused and learn as much as they can. These last few weeks are critical to being successful in 2nd grade.
