This week, we will be working on the following:

Subtraction
President’s Day
Reading maps

Reading fluency

IMPORTANT DATES:
February 21 – President’s Day/No School

UPCOMING TESTS:
Thursday – Practice spelling test
Friday – Spelling test

HOMEWORK:
Monday – Write spelling words 5 times each and make up 5 sentences (must do both)

Tuesday – Write spelling words 5 times each and make up 5 sentences (must do both)

Wednesday/Thursday – Language Arts worksheets and/or Math worksheets

Friday – If all students turn in their homework, there will be no weekend homework; otherwise, Language Arts worksheet and/or Math worksheet


FYI:
Happy Valentine’s Day!! Thanks to all of the parents who donated food for the Valentine’s celebration.

We are having a reading contest this month. The person who gets the most reading logs turned in will win.

I am trying to plan a field trip to The Phoenix Zoo in early March. The cost will be around $2.00-3.50 per person. I will send home permission forms when details are finalized.

Please DO NOT send sick children to school. Sickness spreads fast in a school environment.
