Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week, we will be working on the following:

Phonograms 1-70
Fact families
President’s Day
Review r-controlled vowels, word endings
Writing a group story
Reading comprehension

IMPORTANT DATES:
March 1 – Field Trip to The Phoenix Zoo

UPCOMING TESTS:
Thursday – Biweekly phonogram
Friday – Math, Spelling

HOMEWORK:
Tuesday – Write spelling words from list #1 5 times each

Wednesday/Thursday – Language Arts worksheets and/or Math worksheets

Friday – If all students turn in their homework, there will be no weekend homework; otherwise, Language Arts worksheet and/or Math worksheet


FYI:
Yearbooks are on sale for $20.00

Due to the holiday, there will only be 15 spelling words this week for Group A.

We will have a field trip to the Phoenix Zoo on Tuesday, March 1. The cost is $3.50 per person. I would prefer to have the money before the day of the field trip so that I can plan ahead. Also, students need to bring a sack lunch on that day.
